Penile Rehabilitation Programme

What is penile rehabilitation?

Penile rehabilitation is a structured plan to support erectile function and penile tissue health, most often after prostate surgery or other pelvic procedures, but also for men who want a planned approach to ED. It may combine medication, devices and other therapies, chosen after assessment. Outcomes vary, and no result can be guaranteed.

What a plan may include

  • Treatment of underlying risk factors such as diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol.
  • Medication, such as PDE5 tablets, where appropriate.
  • Vacuum devices or injections in some men.
  • Shockwave therapy in selected men with a blood-flow pattern.
  • Experimental options only after assessment, informed consent and discussion of alternatives.
  • Follow-up to review progress and adjust the plan.

The actual components are decided by the doctor after your assessment.

How the process works

  1. You send your case

Complete the confidential form or message the clinic on WhatsApp. You do not need to know which treatment you need.

  2. The clinic reviews your information

Your answers are sent for confidential review by the clinic team, who may ask for further details or reports.

  3. A patient coordinator contacts you

The coordinator explains the next steps and arranges a consultation. Medical suitability is decided by the doctor, not by the form.

  4. Specialist assessment

The urologist reviews your history and examines you. Tests such as blood tests or penile Doppler ultrasound are used when they are clinically useful.

  5. Personalised options

If treatment is appropriate, the doctor explains the options that may be relevant, the evidence, the risks and the alternatives, in writing, before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Is penile rehabilitation guaranteed to restore erections?

No treatment can be guaranteed to work for every man, and suitability and expected benefit vary between patients.

When should rehabilitation start after surgery?

Timing is individualised. Ask your surgeon or the clinic's urologist.

Does rehabilitation involve regenerative therapies?

Only when they are appropriate and you have given informed consent. The 2026 European Association of Urology (EAU) guideline says intracavernosal PRP for erectile dysfunction should be used only in a clinical-trial setting.
